Overview

Runbook CLI is a personal command center and operational runbook engine. Define, test, and execute multi-step procedures from version-controlled YAML files with output capturing, error policies, and 1Password secret resolution.

Features

YAML Definitions: Describe operations as declarative step pipelines with named inputs and defaults.
Three Step Types: Local shell commands, remote SSH execution, and HTTP REST requests.
1Password Integration: Automatically resolves op:// secret references via the 1Password CLI and caches them in your local OS keychain.
Output Pipelining: Pipe outputs from earlier steps into later commands using Go templates ({{ .steps.auth.token }}).
Failure Recovery: Configure per-step error policies (abort, continue, or retry with exponential backoff).
