Overview

JrnlBar is a sleek macOS menu bar application designed for quickly capturing thoughts, meeting logs, and work updates via the jrnl CLI.

It provides a rich Markdown editor, instant hotkey activation, and an embedded Vim editing mode for keyboard-driven power users.

Menu Bar Living: Sits discreetly in your macOS status bar; no distracting Dock icon.
Global Hotkey: Press ⇧⌘J from any application to drop into the entry editor.
Embedded Vim Modal Editor: Full modal editing (Normal, Insert, Visual) powered by VimEngine.
Dynamic Slash Commands: Type / to invoke commands like /todo (markdown checkboxes), /date, or /weather.
Multi-Journal Support: Seamlessly switch between configured journals (e.g. work, personal, til).
Recent Entries Viewer: Inspect, filter, and edit your last 10 journal entries inline.
