Recipe 1: Morning Triage & Idle-Queued Daily Routine

Run your daily discovery, email alert scanning, and briefing generation without blocking interactive work.

  1. Open Recruit (Cmd+1 for Dashboard) and locate the Daily Routine card.
  2. Hold Option+Shift and click Run All Due to enqueue Fetch Jobs, Scan Email Alerts, AI Discover Jobs, Scrape Target Careers, and Daily Briefing into the Idle AI Queue.
  3. Open Today’s Networking Agenda at the top of the Dashboard to execute your top-ranked warm referral or follow-up touchpoint first.
  4. Click Jobs -> Active in the sidebar, press / to focus the tokenized filter bar, and type:
    is:fit remote:yes score:>85

  5. Use j and k to scan high-scoring roles, s to star standouts, x to pass on mismatches, and p to promote top matches directly into your Interested pipeline column.

Recipe 2: Zero-Fabrication Tailored Resume & Cover Letter Packaging

Generate role-specific collateral that adapts to the target company’s engineering language while enforcing strict factual grounding against your profile.

  1. Select an opportunity on the Pipeline -> Board view (Cmd+3) to open its detail inspector.
  2. In the Opportunity Playbook tab, click Run Research under Strategic Intel & Positioning to synthesize the company’s architecture, product strategy, and leadership signals.
  3. Click Open Worksheet next to Gap-Bridge Positioning Worksheet to map your career achievements against each hard requirement in the job description and pre-build mitigation talking points for any domain gaps.
  4. Click Auto-Package in the opportunity header (or generate the Tailored Resume and Cover Letter individually from the Playbook).
  5. Open the Assets tab and click your tailored resume to launch the split-pane Tailored Resume Editor:
    • Inspect the ATS Keyword Coverage meter and Verification Badge (Verified vs. Needs Review).
    • Click the :_ watermark in the bottom-right corner if you prefer modal Vim editing (VIM:N / VIM:I), or type / at the start of any line to invoke slash commands.
    • Click Export PDF to render a clean, submission-ready PDF into your opportunity package.

Recipe 3: Executive Network Leverage & Warm Referral Unlocking

Turn passive LinkedIn archives and executive contacts into warm internal referrals before submitting cold ATS applications.

  1. Export your LinkedIn Connections.csv archive and import it via Network -> Connections (or recruit network import-connections Connections.csv).
  2. Whenever you view a job or opportunity at a target company (e.g., Vanguard Cloud Systems), Recruit automatically cross-references 1st-degree insiders and displays a green company-connection badge.
  3. Promote key engineering leaders and former colleagues into Network -> People and assign a relationship cadence tier:
    • Close (30d), Regular (90d), Weak (180d), or Cold.
  4. Select a contact to inspect their Executive Network Leverage breakdown (Warmth & Health, Seniority & Influence, Target Org Proximity, and Advocacy & Reciprocity) and read the Opportunity Creation Unlock recommendation.
  5. Click Compose Email to draft a context-aware outreach note grounded in your shared history and the target role, then click Log Interaction so the contact’s cadence timer resets automatically.

Recipe 4: Side-by-Side ATS Application Assistant & Plus-Addressed Tracking

Complete complex Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and Workday applications with one-click field population and automatic inbound email correlation.

  1. Open an opportunity in Pipeline and click Apply in the header bar to launch the side-by-side Application Assistant browser.
  2. Copy the opportunity’s deterministic App Email (alex.rivera+job-vang@example.com) with one click. Using this plus-addressed alias ensures that any confirmation, rejection, or interview invitation parsed by Scan Email Alerts automatically links back to the opportunity timeline.
  3. When encountering custom screening essays (“Why Vanguard Cloud Systems?” or “Describe a distributed systems trade-off you led”), click Capture Form in the Playbook’s Application Form Questions step to draft grounded answers using your Profile and Style Blueprint.
  4. Click Complete Application to transition the opportunity stage to Applied, schedule a 7-day follow-up reminder, and log a qualifying entry in the Unemployment Outreach Tracker.

Recipe 5: Spaced-Repetition Flashcards & WhisperKit Voice Coaching

Prepare for architecture loops and executive panels using SM-2 flashcards and local speech-to-text rubric grading.

  1. Navigate to Tools -> Sharpen in the sidebar.
  2. In the Flashcards tab, select a technical or leadership deck (or generate cards directly from an opportunity’s interview prep brief) and press Space to flip cards and 1–4 (Again, Hard, Good, Easy) to schedule optimal SM-2 review intervals.
  3. Switch to the Practice Prompts tab, pick a behavioral or system design question, and click Record Answer.
  4. Speak your response naturally; WhisperKit transcribes your audio locally on Apple Silicon without sending voice data to third-party servers.
  5. Review the structured coaching scorecard evaluating STAR Structure, Technical Depth, Conciseness, and Executive Presence, and compare your delivery against the suggested high-impact rewrite.

Recipe 6: Drop-Down SQL Console & Ghost Job Sweeping

Audit your pipeline metrics directly with SQL and keep your active job feed free of expired requisitions.

  1. Press Ctrl+` from any screen to slide open the bottom Drop-Down Console and switch to the SQL Console tab.
  2. Type a query with live schema auto-completion (Tab to cycle table and column suggestions) and press Cmd+Return:
SELECT company, title, ROUND(fit_score * 100) AS score, source
    FROM jobs
    WHERE status = 'active' AND fit_score >= 0.85
    ORDER BY fit_score DESC;

  3. To purge filled or dead requisitions from your active queue, navigate to Tools -> Ghost Sweep and click Run Sweep. Recruit concurrently checks ATS endpoints and page markers, allowing you to bulk-dismiss dead listings in one click.
